New Delhi - The Starting Point On A Journey To The 4 Corners Of India

The national capital of the country, New Delhi is the centre of attraction for many people venturing into the country. Not only is it the starting point of many tourists, it is also the perfect start to branch out to any parts of India as the contrasting distance that would happen from other cities will not happen if you were to choose one from Delhi. This article talks about venturing out to the four extreme points of the country from Delhi.

New Delhi is often the place which waves the ‘go’ flag for tourists on their tour of India but not only tourists, New Delhi is also a good starting point for anyone looking to go in any directions of North, South, East or West of India. Being located in the Northern centre of India, it is however a little closer to the Northern states and cities but it is still reasonably closer than for people looking to make a travel from the extreme North to South of the country. SOUTH

EAST

Nagaland (Dimapur)

Dimapur is the only plain area in the state of Nagaland as most of the other towns are set in hill stations or much higher from the sea level. It has an airport and a railway station catering people of its state and neighbouring states as well. Dimapur is the gateway and the starting point of all the beautiful and scenic places of Nagaland. You will also be introduced to the rich cultural heritage and tradition of the Nagas in this city and their cuisine, which may seem a little unconventional sharing similarities with the middle eastern and Asian countries.

NORTH

Jammu Kashmir (Leh, Ladakh)

Leh is an area in Jammu and Kashmir that at present stretches out from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the principle Great Himalayas toward the south, occupied by individuals of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is a standout amongst the most meagerly populated districts in Jammu and Kashmir and its way of life and history are firmly identified with that of Tibet. This place is one of the most sought after tourist destinations.

Apart from these place, Delhi also has some popular tourist destinations situated near it like Agra and Jaipur. JAipur takes about 6 hours by train or road from Delhi while a ride from a Delhi to Agra taxi will take you about 3 hours.
