Writing is an art form, a way of expressing emotions and feelings that transcends time itself. There are some writers and poets who have made quite a name for themselves simply because of the way they express certain things. Their work is published all over and read by millions of people from all over the globe. A good example of such writers is Amr Muneer Dahab, who is a Sudanese Canadian poet, writer, author, and essayist. He is originally a Sudanese. He was born and raised in Khartoum, Sudan, where he received his primary and secondary education. He moved with his family to Kuwait, where he completed high school. Currently, Amr serves as an essayist at Al Youm Al Tali Newspaper.
Amr also served as an essayist at Al Ahdath Newspaper from July 2007 till October 2011, at Al Sudani newspaper from January 2011 till January 2016, and at Assayha Newspaper from March 2016 till January 2017. Here are some writing tips.
To learn to write, start at the beginning
To learn to write is to learn how to build a structure. Without textual structure, it is very likely that your readers give up their reading to the goal of a few lines. So start from the beginning:
What is the theme of your writing? What is the main theme? If you cannot mentally project the architecture of your subject, change the subject.
Write a chapter, a micro-content call, which summarizes the purpose of your article.
Specify to your readers the context, the perimeter of what you write. Make a link between your subject and the medium of diffusion (thus the sign, its values).
To learn to write is to build
Before you tackle the wording of the body of the text, it will be necessary, once again, to build up the constituent elements of what you have written. The 5W is used to establish this structure.
- Organize your ideas so that they are clear to your readers.
- Suggest examples to support your elements.
- Respect the same structure in all your paragraphs.
- Learn to close, too
If one applies the technique of the inverted pyramid, the conclusion is placed at the top of our text, and not at the end of the article. So, how to finish his talk?
Remember your goals. In other words, invite your readers to take action.
Check that your closing paragraph is a logical consequence of your article.
