Development, filming and release – The month of February, 2007 witnessed hiring of husband and wife duo Michele and Kieran Mulroney by Warner Bros for writing the script of the film. The couple submitted the script in June, 2007 that was responded in encouraging manners and with positive response. Fast track production of the film was prompted with the hope that filming would begin before the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike. The film was placed on hold with the Writers Strike that began. Warner Bros had to postpone the idea. The month of February 2008 witnessed development on fast track basis with the end of the strike. Warner Bros and Miller intended to start the film on instant basis but the production saw derailment with postponement up to three months.
It may be noted that the major part of Justice League Casting would be shot in Fox Studios Australia in Sydney. Other locations near the local colleges are also under consideration. Australians had a big say as regards the production crew. But the forty percent tax rebate has been refused to Warner Bros as the Australian authorities are of the view that sufficient number of Australian actors has not been hired by Warner Bros. On the other hand Miller termed it as a lazy thinking as he stated that the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Australian film industry is being wasted. Hundreds of millions of dollars of investment is being thrown away while the remaining world is struggling for it. Filming of Justice League casting saw pushing back with moving to the Vancouver Film Studios in Canada. However Warner Bros was sure that the film could be released soon in the near future.
With all such hurdles, the time for release of the film is coming near. It is expected that now the film would be released on November 17, 2017 and it will get an IMAX release.
