The Polaris RZR XP 1000 is only the second UTV model by Polaris to come with doors from the factory, the first being the Jagged X RZR. The plastic doors do a little protect driver and passengers from dirt and debris, but as half doors, they only fit the needs of a certain sector of customers. Because customers tend to enjoy some level of customization, we expect a large number of lucky XP 1000 owners to spring for their own custom doors. The following doors are a few units that have impressed us so far.
The types of doors available for the XP 1000 essentially fall into two categories: Door inserts to complement the factory XP 1000 doors and complete replacement doors. The DragonFire team designed a set of door inserts that enhance the factory 1/2 doors with the Door Panel & Slammer kit. Specifically designed to fill in the missing bottom and shoulder sections, these easy to install panels match the factory body lines. This design allows owners to let you add graphics to the factory doors, and the kit uses Dragonfire Racing’s Door Slammer Kit, which eliminates issues with the functioning of the stock doors. This door panel and slammer kit is an easy, affordable solution to make the most of the factory door setup. The kit is complete with driver/passenger door panels & all mounting hardware necessary for installation. All panels are constructed using aircraft grade aluminum and built-in gusset supports, and are designed and formed to match the RZR XP 1000’s OEM body line. The entire panel and slammer latch system is powder coated in a textured black finish to match OEM doors and plastics.
