The Can Am Commander, like most UTVs, benefits from a solid set of bumpers to protect the radiator, lights and other vulnerable parts of the vehicle. There are over a dozen companies that make excellent quality front and rear bumpers for the Commander, and bumpers continue to be the most popular Can Am Commander accessories. The following are a few of our favorites, that we have tested and proven to be an excellent investment.
TurnKey UTV’s BAJA Series Can Am Commander front bumper includes an integrated winch mount, and is constructed using heavy gauge CNC cut aluminum skid plate, providing protection for the Commander’s radiator. The dual light tabs are an excellent spot to mount two 6″ or one 12″ LED light bar. The integrated lower winch mount and tow strap hook up bar are built to endure the extreme conditions these UTVs are challenged with every day. The BAJA Series bumper for the Commander not only protects the front of your vehicle, it adds protection to the corners of the vehicle with a wrap around design. The bumper mounts to the Commander in three separate locations using heavy gauge steel brackets. You can easily install a winch by using a separate skid plate, so there is no need to purchase a new bumper when and if you decide to add a winch. The Baja Series bumper is available in two premium powder-coated colors, Commander yellow and a heavy duty textured black. The textured black finish matches the Commander’s factory roll cage. The integrated aluminum skid plate comes standard in the textured black but is available in custom colors as well. It includes all necessary mounting hardware, as well as step by step photo installation instructions, and the bumper can be installed in under 30 minutes.
Of course, the rear of the Commander deserves protection as well, and the rear bumper by SuperATV fits the 2011+ Commander and protects the rear end while adding a uniquely aggressive look. The bumper comes in a sand black textured finish that compliments the natural lines of the Commander and adds structural integrity to the factory cage. Nothing on the rear of the vehicle needs removing in order to add this bumper.
