Sightseeing in Split:
Split is the largest city in Dalmatia and forms the beating heart of the central Dalmatia region. Why not explore the beautiful streets of the old town? Idyllic Islands to Sail to:
Yachts can be chartered from Split, and days can be spent sailing to a range of beautiful islands in the clear blue Adriatic. Hvar is the biggest and best known of the islands perhaps, Hvar town is a major party destination for those who love to let their hair down. Don’t disregard Hvar though, if you are looking for something a bit more tranquil. The rest of the island, away from the main town, still reposes peacefully – living is traditional and the pace of life slow. Visit one of the small fishing villages, or wander the pretty rural roads. Another option is Brac, with its rolling hills, fig and pine forests, clean, isolated bays and pebble beaches. Be sure to visit the Dragon cave on the island.Visovac island is home to Krka National Park – be sure not to miss the breathtaking waterfalls and old monastery of this beautiful nature reserve. Push the boat out and travel to Vis, further out from the Croatian mainland, and discover this unspoiled island with its waters teeming with fish. These are just a few of the many amazing islands dotted jewel-like in this section of the Adriatic.

This was once the capital of Dalmatia, in Roman times, and the Roman ruins, including a well preserved amphitheatre, a basilica, as well as many other Roman buildings. This fascinating town is around fifteen or twenty minutes from Split.
Castles and Dalmatian Cuisine at Kastela:
Once a collection of villages, each one with a castle and other historic buildings, this is now one town, and one well worth visiting for its fine restaurants serving traditional Dalmatian food. Also a good place to walk beside the sea, or take a dip somewhere away from the big city. Why not sail around the coastline here rather than going by road? You will get a different perspective on the sights.
