We all know that Shahrukh Khan is regarded as the king of Bollywood, and when it comes to playback singing, then Arijit Singh, definitely occupies the top most position these days. Every year he is credited to deliver at least 5-6 hits in his name. His journey too, into the Hindi film industry is quite an inspiring story.

Arijit Singh, His Concerts and More

Arijit Singh hails from a small place called Jiaganj in West Bengal, located in the district of Murshidabad. Nurturing a knack for singing since his childhood, a young and highly ambitious Singh, set out to test his challenges in the walls of Fame Gurukul (one of India’s most popular music shows) in the year 2005.

However, he did not emerge as the winner of this show. Refusing to let go of his dreams, Singh started off his career by becoming a music programmer. His talent was noticed and soon he ended up working with some of the contemporary stalwarts of the music industry like Mithoon, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, Pritam Chakraborty and Vishal-Shekhar. It was Mithoon, who gave him the first break and he recorded a song for a quite popular film- Murder 2. This recording and preparation were completed in 2009 but due to some delays, the release was postponed to 2011. After this there was no looking back for this bundle of talent. 2 years of hard work and effort paid off.

Singh’s melodious voice got the attention of millions and slowly but steadily he emerged as the new voice of Bollywood. Now hardly there is any commercial film being made which does not have at least one song by him. He has also begun experimenting in Tollywood. He has lent his voice as playback to many great actors of this industry, the latest one being King Khan himself. Some of his greatest hits include Raabta from Agent Vinod, Gerua from Dilwale, Kyunki Tumhi ho from Aashiqui 2, Kabhi Jo badal barse from Jackpot, Hungama Ho gaya from Queen, Mast Magan from 2 states, Humdard from Ek Villian and many more.

Apart from being an excellent playback singer, Arijit Singh commands a different level of confidence when it comes to live performances. Many playback singers have often suffered from not being able to connect with the audience during live shows. However, Singh lacks any inhibitions in this field and always mesmerises the crowd. He is best at singing medleys, as he displayed during the Mirchi Music Awards. Arijit Singh concert Mumbai shows keep on happening almost every year. He has performed in the past at the Color Splatter 2016 during Holi this year. On the very same day he had another performance at Color Blast 2016. The D.Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai has also hosted a live Arijit Singh concert.

It is absolutely crucial that one keeps a track of his events since he keeps on performing from time to time and I am sure you don’t want to miss an opportunity to hear him sing.
